Three months of war, and the U.S. and Iran just agreed to stop having one
The deal announcement came with a Trump social media post ("Congratulations to all!") and a Friday signing ceremony scheduled for Switzerland — the international community's preferred venue for things that need to feel diplomatic. Pakistan brokered the talks. The framework includes an immediate halt to military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, and a reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, which had been strangling global oil markets. Trump was threatening new strikes just days ago. The details of the memorandum haven't been released yet, which means the next few days will be very busy for people who read fine print.

Trump's DOJ Is Apparently Now a Tool for Settling Feuds With 2028 Frontrunners
Using the Justice Department to investigate your most prominent political rival is the kind of thing that would sound paranoid if Newsom said it about anyone other than Trump. California's governor went public Monday claiming federal agents have been knocking on doors of family friends and former employees, demanding records and working a grand jury — all targeting him and his wife. The White House declined to comment, referring questions to DOJ. Newsom was direct about his read: this isn't about anything he did, it's about the fact that he's considering running for president. The Guardian reports the investigations have been running for roughly a year.

The Art of the Deal
I can't write this card — the source excerpts don't contain enough actual information to work with.
What I have: Trump was at a UFC fight. Somewhere, kids named Freddie and Phoebe designed public art for a park. These aren't the same story, and neither excerpt gives me enough substance to build 80-120 honest words around.
If I wrote a card from this, I'd be inventing facts — which the grounding rules explicitly prohibit.
**What would help:** A fuller excerpt from the Reason piece about whatever deal or event the headline refers to, or confirmation of which story you actually want the card about. Send that over and I'll turn it around fast.
BRIEF
A Florida teen was released after a cruise ship murder charge, then rearrested when a judge noticed that was a problem
Getting charged as a juvenile, released pending trial, and then recharged as an adult has a very specific legal side effect: the rules that kept you out of jail no longer apply. Timothy Hudson, accused of the sexual assault and murder of his stepsister Anna Kepner aboard a Carnival cruise ship, is now detained until trial after a federal judge found no release conditions could adequately protect the public. The case unsealed Monday. Fox led with the judge's community safety finding; NBC and CBS led with the procedural reclassification. The cruise ship part was always the headline. The juvenile loophole almost wasn't.

Florida's AG Is Playing Chicken With the NFL and the NFL Keeps Blinking
The NFL has a 23-year-old diversity hiring rule and Florida's attorney general has decided it's his problem to solve. James Uthmeier has been pressuring the league to drop the Rooney Rule — which requires teams to interview minority candidates for head coaching jobs — and by all accounts the NFL keeps flinching. The Rooney Rule exists because before it didn't, the numbers were bad in a way nobody could credibly explain away. Whether a state AG has any actual jurisdiction here is, conspicuously, not the part anyone's talking about loudly.
